Re: December 17th workshop. The proposed Carlton Way park is located within the Hollywood Studio District Neighborhood Council area. As Parliamentarian of the HSDNC I question why I am just hearing about this. In addition, please note the HSDNC is holding its annual Holiday Party on Thursday, December 17th from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, making it impossible for any of our members to attend your workshop. In fact, I would suggest you cancel your workshop for that day and have your people attend our party and hand out fliers, promotional material, etc. We’re expecting 700 people — what an opportunity for you guys!
Hopefully, we’ll see you on Thursday at our function, not yours.
Thanks for your comments. We are simply publicizing the park design event, not hosting it; if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call Tori Kjer at the Trust for Public Land at 323.223.0441 ext. 11. I’d also encourage you to attend their events in January, also listed in the post.
Also, if you have a flyer for your event on Thursday, please forward it to us — we’d love to publicize your event on our web site as well!
Best regards,
