Here at the Hollywood Community Studio, one of our main goals is to keep the folks that live and work here informed of changes that are happening, and let them know how and when they can get involved in shaping these changes. To that end, we’ve created an online tool to help you find out about the major developments that are in the planning stage, under construction, or are recently completed in the Central Hollywood area.
The photo above is what you’ll see when you visit our Development Tracking Tool. It contains a map of Central Hollywood, with colored boxes indicating where proposed and current development is located, and what phase of development each project is in. The home page also has a calendar of upcoming community meetings where you can find out more about each project and make your opinion known, as well as links to each project’s individual page (with descriptions and renderings of each project, as well as recent planning documents and a calendar of upcoming meetings). Completed projects like the recent Hollywood and Vine development also allow you to give your feedback on how this project affected you, and whether or not you think the development has made the neighborhood better.
This web site is currently in rough draft form, but we wanted to open it up to the Hollywood community to get your feedback. Do you find this tool helpful? Is it missing information that you’d like to know? What would make it better? Please check it out, and then let us know what you think in the comments below.
